How soon can the inspection be done?
Usually within 24 to 48 hours from the time you book the inspection. Obtaining access to the property is normally the only delay encountered.
Once the inspection has been carried out, how long before I receive my report?
Provided payment has been verified (proof of payment is sufficient), your report will be emailed, or mailed if you do not have email, to you within 24 hours of the inspection. In some urgent cases, a verbal report can be provided to you and your solicitor/conveyancer with the typed report to follow within 24 hours.
Who gets a copy of the report?
An emailed copy can be sent out to anyone nominated by the client. We are more than happy to send one to your solicitor/conveyancer if you have provided us with their contact details. A signed hard copy of the report is sent to the client.
How soon do I need to pay for the reports?
Payment for the reports are required before the report and/or any details in the report can be released to you. Payment options are listed on your invoice, which is emailed to you when you book an inspection.
How long is the report valid for?
Reports are valid for 30 days from the time and date of the inspection. This is strictly in relation to the contract between the client and the pest and building consultants as required by indemnity insurance policies and in accordance with the Australian Standards. Any changes to a report after the 30 day period will require a follow-up inspection and report.
What time frame does the consultants’ liability period cover on issues with the property?
Generally speaking, any problem that arises with a property that has been inspected, and was not reported, is a liability issue. There is no specific time frame for reporting a problem.
